Situated below the Abbey Church, the French Garden offers an impressive view of the building and the former Château de la Guesdière, which has been the seat of the town hall since the 1970s. It is possible to walk there, with a pushchair or in a wheelchair, thanks to the well-maintained earthen paths, and one often comes across brides and grooms who take advantage of this magnificent setting for their wedding photos. A large green area allows children to play and hosts annual events during the Heritage Days, such as a medieval village or a gathering of vintage vehicles. Nearby, you can visit the Musée de la Guesdière at weekends (between May and September) to discover the history of the town and take a stroll through the narrow pedestrian streets to admire the Abbey and the former Cluniac priory.
